Jade Country

The Jade Country Greenstone Experience is New Zealand's premier Jade Gallery and studio situated in the town centre of Greymouth. The Gallery is a showcase for high quality, individually designed jade sculptures and jewellery. The application of highly sophisticated diamond technology has advanced the boundaries of Jade and the sculptor's ability to take Jade to another level of art.
The unique works of internationally renowned Ian Boustridge are complemented by works in gold and the works of other designers from throughout New Zealand, working in a range of
materials.

The Jade Boulder Gallery Discovery Walkway is a "please touch" exhibition - giving visitors a deeper understanding and appreciation of the origins and discovery of Jade. This fascinating display is as close as most come to seeing the stone in its natural environment.

The Jade Country complex provides excellent facilities including the newly refurbished Jade Boulder Café providing excellent Wild Food fare and the Jade Trail - a museum quality attraction providing a unique insight into the world of Jade - fully guided tours a must.

Stewart Nimmo Gallery

Stewart and Edie purchased a charming 1928 grocery store in late 1999 and lovingly restored and converted it into a unique, warm and inviting gallery. Many of the old advertising hoardings from a bygone era are still proudly visible on the rustic brick walls.

The shop abounds with stunning West Coast photography and also specialises in wood, paua, bone, and wool, as well as local arts.

There is a selection of native Maori carvings and famous Maori art reproductions. The gallery also has an increasing range of New Zealand souvenirs.
